The Space:
Set among the fells, Rigg End is a 16th-century Farmhouse that pairs Nordic restraint with bold, joyful character. Four bedrooms sleep eight: three super-kings and a king, with a mezzanine suite and freestanding bath, and three sitting rooms, each with a wood burner, mean can always gather around. The kitchen and long island are made for cooking together; the days for walking it off on the surrounding hills. Outside, a hot tub and barbecue take in the rolling Dales, and the evenings settle into fire, food and easy company. Kirkby Stephen is 10 minutes away, Lake District 30.
