This is walking country: the smooth, green Howgill Fells, the heights of Wild Boar Fell, and Smardale Gill nature reserve with its great stone viaduct are all close, while the celebrated Settle–Carlisle railway threads dramatic scenery nearby. Sedbergh, Englands book town, and a scattering of dale villages with old stone pubs are within easy reach. HouseRules

We kindly ask that any music played outside is kept to a minimum to preserve the peaceful atmosphere for all guests and neighbours. Please be aware that persistent loud music may result in a fine, as outlined in our house rules. Noise monitoring equipment is in place to help us ensure a comfortable environment for everyone.

Please avoid using fireworks during your stay.

Our property is nestled in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by wildlife, farm animals, and neighbouring homes. Fireworks can cause distress to animals and disrupt the calm of the countryside.

We kindly ask for your cooperation in helping us protect the environment and respect our community.

Thank you for understanding!

For safety and housekeeping reasons, the fireplace must not be used on the day of departure.

This allows sufficient time for the fire to cool and ensures our team can clean and prepare the property safely for the next guests.

We kindly ask that you enjoy the fireplace during your stay, but refrain from lighting it on your final morning.
