The Y Glyn Estate

Y Glyn is conveniently located near Llangefni, a market town and Anglesey's cultural capital. Set within four acres of beautiful untouched land, the farm estate is home to a Welsh stone Cottage and stone Bothy.

Dating back to the 1600s, the house was originally called Ceint Bach and is most famous as the birthplace of the renowned Welsh poet, Robert Hughes from 1744 to 1785. It was also the home of William Jones, MP for Arvon, from 1857 to 1915.

When youre done foraging wild elderflower and blackberries at Y Glyn, head out to explore Llangefnis cultural attractions and the islands coastlines, with both only a 10-minute drive away. If you fancy heading further afield, venture over to the nearby Menai Bridge, the gateway to the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia.

HouseRules

For safety and housekeeping reasons, the fireplace must not be used on the day of departure. This allows sufficient time for the fire to cool and ensures our team can clean and prepare the property safely for the next guests. We kindly ask that you enjoy the fireplace during your stay, but refrain from lighting it on your final morning. Please avoid using fireworks during your stay. Our property is nestled in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by wildlife, farm animals, and neighbouring homes. Fireworks can cause distress to animals and disrupt the calm of the countryside. We kindly ask for your cooperation in helping us protect the environment and respect our community. Thank you for understanding!
