The Space:

Set into open countryside near Llangefni, Palôd is calm and considered, mirrored glass outside, warm materials within. The ritual is the reason to come. Tend the private wood-fired sauna, let the heat build, then take the cold plunge and feel everything reset; repeat, with the process itself doing the slowing-down. Between rounds, the barbecue, a drink under a wide sky, the birds over the grass. Inside, a king bed faces the natural surroundings, with underfloor heating, rainfall shower and a kitchenette for unhurried meals. Sleep is deep here; the morning brings sunrise straight through the glass.

Palôd, for the islands puffins, is named, like its neighbours, for the wildlife of Anglesey, with the coast and Eryri close when the day asks for more.

Neighborhood

Ynys Môn | Isle of Anglesey

Anglesey is known for its unspoilt coastline, open landscapes and slower pace of life, much of it protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The island boasts a rich diversity of plant and animal life, and its famed Coastal Path circles the shoreline, revealing clifftop walks, quiet coves and wide sandy beaches at every turn.

Nearby highlights include:

- Llanddwyn Beach (Newborough Forest): sweeping sand dunes, pine forests, and iconic island lighthouse views

- Rhosneigr: surfing, kitesurfing, and a lively coastal feel

- Red Wharf Bay: its vast tidal sands and a waterside pubs

The island is a playground for water lovers, with kayaking, paddle boarding, coasteering, sailing, rib rides, and wild swimming all easily accessible.

Historic Beaumaris and its medieval castle are a short drive, and RIB trips run from the Menai Strait to Puffin Island for seals and seabirds. Menai Bridge brings an appetite for Angleseys seafood; the local lobster is quietly famous. Across the bridge, Eryri (Snowdonia) opens up. Yr Wyddfa, glacial lakes and mountain paths.
